As we head into the summer, I’ll be trying to reach more and more college football players about my campaign to start a College Football Players Association. Key to this will obviously be increased media coverage of my campaign and how that campaign emerged out of my experiences at the University of Minnesota. At different points on this newsletter, I have announced key media events but have not announced every press report emerging out of the work I’m doing on this newsletter.
So, this post will be where I compile all press coverage to date and where I will add coverage when it comes in the future. I’ll then pin the post to the top of my newsletter so it’ll be easy for visitors to find the links. So, without further ado, here are the links thus far starting with the newest press coverage and ending with the oldest:
Liz Collin, “Former Gopher Football Employee Raises New Concerns; NCPA Finds ‘Red Flags.’” WCCO CBS Minnesota, 19 May 2021.
Liz Collin, “‘U’ Regent ‘To Start Asking Questions’ About Gopher Football Injuries.” WCCO CBS Minnesota, 11 May 2021. My response to this report and the May 10 report below can be read here.
Liz Collin, “Unnecessary Roughness? Former Gophers Claim Tough Practices Ended Football Careers.” WCCO CBS Minnesota, 10 May 2021.
Interview with Daniel Libit in Episode 30 of The Intercollegiate Podcast, 2 November 2020.
That’s it for now. I’ve been recently talking with sports reporters outside of Minnesota about my campaign and feel confident that I’ll have more to add to this list in the near future. As always, to get involved in my campaign, head to this link to find out what you can do to help.
